Coaching for exams, supervising titrations, directing a judging panel, and running lessons for children from kindergarten to Grade 7 — the through-line is handing the next student a shorter route than the one before.

Coach RCP Chemistry Club Now the Science Club

Taught lessons and prepared students for the Avogadro Chemistry Exam. Also hosts physics lessons and hands-on labs — including the science behind elephant toothpaste.

Junior Instructor UBC Geering Up Summer ’25 · 30+ hours

Assisted instructors during class time and led one lesson per week, supervised students at lunch, ran recess activities, supported students needing one-to-one attention, and helped manage emergency situations.

K, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 6/7 30+ hours

Science Fair

Mentor · Grade 10 A pair of Grade 9 students ~20 hours

Guided them through the whole process — reading over their lab report, supervising their titration, and working through the method with them.

Mentor · Grade 11 A pair of Grade 8 students 15+ hours

Taught them the basics and read over their lab report. They ranked 4th locally and went on to regionals, taking honourable mentions.

Head Judge Local Science Fair Judge in Grade 10

Judged 10 projects and determined the winner advancing to regionals. As Head Judge, in charge of organising, training and overseeing all the judges.

Volunteer Floater Kumon Reading & Mathematics

Assists students with their Kumon work — reading from grammar through critical analysis of Shakespeare, and mathematics from basic operations through calculus.
